Getting A Copy of Mga Ibong Mandaragit

After reading all the recent reactions to Mga Ibong Mandaragit, I’ve decided to get a copy of Mga Ibong Mandaragit. I know I had a copy of it lying somewhere around the house, but perhaps my sister borrowed it.

Anyway, I’m too excited to get this web project going, so instead of bugging my sister and waiting for her to get the book back to me, I’ve decided to just get a copy of Amado V. Hernandez’ novel at National Book Store.

I’ve been reading about how a couple of intelligent, fluent-in-Tagalog people have had a hard time understanding the novel, so please wish me luck in this endeavor.

If you're interested in Mga Ibong Mandaragit, then please Subscribe to the Full RSS Feed [Google Reader | Rojo], because this will tell us if you want to see more summaries here.

Or blog about this site and post a link to http://www.IbongMandaragit.com and leave a comment in any of the pages in this site so that we can visit your blog also. Thank you! :-)

We’re not allowed to send copies (copyright issues). The book is available in National Bookstore.

Ah. We’re learning this now. Thanks for the notes. :) It helps with understanding the story. I’m trying to look for an e-book that I could buy (yes, buy) with Ibong Mandaragit in Filipino. Unabridged. :/ All I could find are more research notes. I hope National Bookstore has a stock of it, then. I’ll just have to ask my mom to buy me one tonight. (I need it–now. I’m not kidding.)

Ah, well. The warm feeling of paperback copies in one’s hands are much better than the burning in the retinas from e-books. Haha! Nothing beats the nostalgic experience of cozying up with a good book.
